A healthy Howe gets Tigers off and running

Athlete of the week achievement: Won the 100-meter dash and 400 dash at the Altoona Igloo Invitational. He also won both of those events, as well as the 400 relay, in a dual meet with Central Cambria and a tri-meet with Bellwood-Antis and Bishop Guilfoyle.
Season update: Howe leads the area with a time of 11.34 seconds in the 100 dash and 51.32 in the 400.
Coach Adam Ulery’s quote: “He’s a very hard worker and a very intelligent runner. He hasn’t been on the radar throughout his career, because he’s been injured the last two years with a hamstring. We’ve known he’s talented since his freshman year, and this year he’s finally healthy and is having a great opening to the season and has room to improve, especially in the 400.”
