Name: Hunter Klotz

Age: 16

Grade: Sophomore

Sport: Basketball

Athlete of the week achievement: Klotz scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 53-46 win over Philipsburg-Osceola and then had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a 53-44 victory over Clearfield.

Season update: Klotz is averaging 11.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game for the Scarlet Dragons.

Coach Reggie Nevins’ quote: “He’s an exceptional leader for being a sophomore. He kind of directs our defense — he’s the main communicator on defense, which has been a strong point of our team. We use him all over the court. He’s an excellent rebounder, but we’ve used him as a point to help break presses. He makes a lot of good decisions in the open court.”
