Athlete of the week achievement: Mowry made six saves and earned a shutout in Bedford’s 1-0 overtime win over Lewisburg in the PIAA Class 2A state championship match. She also made the game-winning save during penalty kicks in a win over South Park in the semifinals.

Season update: This year she had 14 shutouts and an 87-percent save percentage. She allowed only 11 goals all season. In two years, she has 26 shutouts and a 45-1 overall record.

She is definitely the complete package as far as when to come off the line and when to come out. She is very good on penalty kick stops, especially in a shootout. She can get over to the post. She guesses right.”
