Athlete of the week achievement: Gripp intercepted four passes and returned one of them for a touchdown in Tyrone’s victory over Central.

Season update: Tyrone is 2-0 and Gripp has four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown offensively to go along with his four interceptions defensively.

It’s been fun watching him this summer into the fall understanding and growing into his position. It’s a tremendous accomplishment to have four interceptions in one game, including a pick 6.”

How I got my start in football: My parents signed me up to play Pee Wee football in second grade.

Future goal: To receive an athletic scholarship to attend college and be successful in life.
