Male Athlete of the Week: Fowler reaches goal, makes states

Sport: Swimming

Athlete of the week achievement: Fowler won the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle in the District 6 Class 2A Swimming Championships. He was also part of the winning 200 free relay and 400 free relay in helping the Huntingdon boys claim the team title.

Season update: Fowler’s top times are 23.30 seconds in the 50 free and 50.68 in the 100 free.

Coach Melanie Varner’s quote: “It is a great way for Zeb to finish out his career. He wanted to make it back to states after being there two years ago. He was working hard to achieve that goal, and to make it in both events and both relays, he had a hard time keeping a smile off his face Saturday.”
