Lady Lions roll

UNIVERSITY PARK — Makenna Marisa scored 25 points and dished out 10 assists to lead the Penn State women’s basketball team to a 90-72 victory over Illinois Sunday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Shay Hagans added 17 points for the Lady Lions.

Penn State shot 50 percent from beyond the arc and made 11 3-pointers in the game.

The Lady Lions improved their record to 2-3 in the Big Ten and 8-7 overall. They are next scheduled to be in action on Thursday night when they travel to Northwestern for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
