Cain in transfer portal

UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State running back Noah Cain has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Cain, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns on 106 carries this past season.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana product by way of IMG Academy in Florida, Cain rushed for 443 yards on 84 carries and scored eight touchdowns in 2019, when the Nittany Lions went 11-2. But he missed four games to injury. He was also injured in the season opener at Indiana and missed the remainder of the 2020 season.

In 2021, Cain split time with Keyvone Lee, whose 530 yards on 108 carries led the team.

The Lions have two decorated freshman running backs already enrolled in Pennsylvania native Nick Singleton, the Gatorade Player of the Year, and Kaytron Allen. Other scholarship running backs still on the roster include Devyn Ford and Caziah Holmes.
