Harrar returns for Penn State
Penn State forward John Harrar will return to the men’s basketball team next season.
That was being reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein on Tuesday.
Harrar was among a group of players for Penn State last season who decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal after the season ended.
The 6-foot-9 forward had an strong campaign, averaging 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, ranking fourth in the Big Ten in boards. He also had 94 offensive rebounds, the third-most in the conference.
Harrar becomes the third key player who entered the NCAA Transfer Portal to decide to stay, joining Izaiah Brockington and Seth Lundy for new head coach Micah Shrewsberry.
