Neil Rudel’s take: Among the more inspirational players in PSU history, Klingensmith was deaf and relied on hand signals and candance but still rushed for 81 yards in the win at No. 10 Ohio State. Nits lost 22-21 at No. 4 Pitt to close season. Though not known for their quarterback development, Liske, like Milt Plum, went on to solid NFL run. Altoona product Tom Kerns was on Army team that again beat the Lions.
