Game notes: Rutgers currently sits in a four-way tie atop the Big Ten standings with Northwestern, Indiana and Iowa (All 4-1), with the Lady Knights only loss in league coming to Indiana on Dec. 31. … Rutgers leads the all-time series with PSU, 27-19, dating back to 1977, but since Rutgers joined the Big Ten, Penn State is just 1-7. … Arella Guirantes is the only other scorer doing better than PSU’s Kamaria McDaniel this season, averaging 19.7 ppg and team-best 7.1 rebounds for contest. The Scarlet Knights also lead the Big Ten in scoring defense, holding opponents to an average of 52.9 ppg.
Mirror prediction: Rutgers 70, Penn State 55
Comment: Rutgers will continue to roll in this series for now. Penn State’s cold shooting last time out simply won’t do against Rutger’s excellent defense.
Mirror prediction record: 10-6
