Everett softball falls in PIAA semis

WEST MIFFLIN — Everett got down from the start and never led as its season came to a close in a 9-5 defeat to Laurel on Monday afternoon in PIAA Class 2A state softball semifinal playoff action at West Mifflin High School.

The Lady Warriors racked up 12 hits as Morgan Bowser, Baylee Snyder, Kassi Howsare and Anna Cooper notched two apiece.

Snyder, Bowser and Lyla Levy each smacked a double for Everett, which finished its season with a record of 20-5.
