HUNTINGDON — The team of Bob Lamey and Geoff Clarke went 4-2 during week 6 of the Big Orange Golf League at the Huntingdon Country Club.

Two teams — Ed Gargula-Alan Herbster and Phil Thompson-Keith Black — went 3-3. The team of Larry Newton and Gerry Huggler went 2-4.

Clarke was the low gross winner (35) while Lamey (31) was the low net winner. The shot of the day was Herbster’s 15-foot putt on No. 7 for birdie.

Sylvan Hills

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The team of Kim Straesser, Pam Ergler and Pam Riley finished with a 36 to win the Sylvan Hills Ladies Golf Association Scramble at the Sylvan Hills Golf Club.

Finishing second at 38 was the team of Lou Ann Donlan, Yvonne Gentry and Molly Goldstein. One stroke back in third at 39 was the team of Brenda Flick, Joan Conway and Donna Buck.

On the men’s side, the team of John Roland, Gary Zimmerman, Andy Cameron and Steve Dunning won the Sylvan Hills Butch Focht Senior Men’s Tournament with a 32.

Placing second at 33 was the team of Jim Burke, David Johns, Herb Bolger and Don Stubbs (33). Finishing third with a 34 was the team of Terry Goldstein, Andy Unger, Scott McGrain and Bruno Felus.

Hole-in-one

Joe Maschue sank a hole-in-one while playing at the Sinking Valley Country Club.

He made the shot on No. 16 from the gold tees using a 7-iron. It was witnessed by Randy Miles, Paul Tryninewski and Dick Klaiber.
