The Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference released its spring sports all-stars on Tuesday.

Several athletes from the Mirror’s core coverage area landed on the first team in their respective sports.

In softball, Tyrone’s Amariah Sprankle, Central Cambria’s Kiera Link and Penn Cambria’s Sophia Rabatin secured positions on the first team with Link making it as both an infielder and pitcher.

Baseball first-team stars included Central’s Jay Hoenstine and Coltin Harbaugh, Hollidaysburg’s Vince Boland, Tyrone’s Landon Hamer and Ashton Walk, Bellwood-Antis’ Jackson Dorminy, Penn Cambria’s Caden Gibbons and Central Cambria’s Grady Snyder.

In boys tennis, East MVP Garrett Bouchard of Hollidaysburg led the way. He was joined on the first team by teammates Felix Xu, Michael Waibel, Yvan Chen and Alex Arbogast. Also on the first team was Tyrone’s Wyatt Walls. Richland’s Nilesh Singh was the West MVP.

Girls track and field first teamers included Central Cambria’s 3200 relay team of Paige Alexander, Alaina Long and Alaina and Abigail Sheehan, Hollidaysburg’s Emily Clapper (for both the 400 and long jump), Clapper again with her teammates in the 1600 relay — Adalai Carney, Elizabeth Frazier and Sophia Moyer, Bellwood-Antis’ Emma Taneyhill and Tyrone’s Lola Woomer.

On the boys side, first teamers included Tyrone’s 3200 relay team of Aiden Detwiler, Thomas Sutt, Alex Brumbaugh and Dante Novak, Hollidaysburg’s Isaac Yarnell (in the 100, 200, 400) and with his teammates — Andrew Chestney, Sebastian Diaz and Anthony Destefano — in the 1600 relay, Central Cambria’s Dom Kuntz and Ethan Haycisak and Bellwood-Antis’ Cayden Pellegrine.
