MILL HALL — Josh Beamer of Picture Rocks is the latest driver to etch his name in the Clinton County Speedway record book as a Nittany 40 winner.
“This is the biggest win of my racing career,” Beamer said in Victory Lane.
The RaceSaver Sprints competed in two events on Friday night with Jeffrey Weaver claiming a victory with a last lap pass. Tommy Dawson of Hobbie won the Pro Stocks, Garrison Zook of Middleburg won the 270 Micros, Larry Beachel of New Columbia won the Four-Cylinders and Carlie Brezinski from Spring Church won the Young Guns Sprints.
The Clinton County Speedway returns this Friday with another four-division show featuring the RaceSaver Sprints, pro stocks, 270 micros and four-cylinders.
Williams Grove
MECHANICSBURG — It was another wet weekend and Williams Grove Speedway had to cancel and postpone all events, so a full schedule will be on the calendar for this week.
The USAC AMSOIL National Sprints will invade Williams Grove for the Eastern Storm coming up this Friday night. The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints will join the wingless USAC 410s.
Competing in a 30-lap main event, the USAC drivers will be racing for a $6,000 payday while the regular Williams Grove 410s run for $5,500. It will also be Mamma’s Pizza Fan Appreciation Night, also sponsored by Martin’s Potato Chips, hoseheads.com and J&S Classics.
Port Royal
PORT ROYAL — Another victim of rain last weekend, Port Royal is hoping to come back with a different kind of storm on Saturday night when the USAC Eastern Blast rolls into the borough featuring three premier divisions: the USAC National Sprint Cars, USAC Silver Crown Series and Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars.
The highly anticipated tripleheader is presented by Bobby Rahal Toyota of Lewistown and will showcase the best of winged and non-wing sprint car racing.
