CLAYSBURG — Cumming Motors split a pair of one-run games against the Butler Iron Bucks in the Rust Belt League on Saturday at Claysburg-Kimmel High School.

Motors won the first, 3-2, in a game in which Adam Cooper had two hits, including a home run. In the second game, Iron Bucks held off a rally and won, 5-4, despite being outhit, 8-5 — including two Cumming Motor hits from Cru Stover.

Cumming sweeps

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Roman Fridley had two hits and two RBIs, and Brady Angus added two hits, including a double in a 5-2 win by Cumming Motors over Creekside Crocodiles in the first game of a Rust Belt doubleheader at Pemberton Field on Sunday.

Cumming Motors scored all five of its runs in the final two innings after trailing 2-0.

In the second game, Cumming Motors used a 16-hit barrage to pound the Crocs, 14-4. Carter Weaverling had four hits and three RBIs, and Aaron Smearman had three hits and four RBIs. Fridley and Ayden Albright also each had three hits.
