EBENSBURG — Ben Howard hit a two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Blake Coposky and Brayden Blasko to lift Central Cambria to a 5-4 victory over Bald Eagle Area in high school baseball on Monday.

Howard’s double capped off a five-run seventh inning to complete a rally from 4-0 down.

Blasko had three hits, and J.D. Brouse had two hits and two RBIs. Mason Pittsinger tripled for the Red Devils.

MECHANICSBURG — Grady Weaver struck out 11 and walked none to lead Mechanicsburg to a 3-1 victory over Altoona in a Mid-Penn Conference game. Weaver also added an RBI with a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

TYRONE — Ashton Walk had three hits and drove in two runs, Gayge Miller had three RBIs and Landon Hamer tripled among his two hits to lead Tyrone to an 8-3 victory over Mount Union — the Golden Eagles’ second win over the Trojans this year.

Lincoln Shirey added two hits and an RBI for Tyrone.

Panthers win

JOHNSTOWN — Penn Cambria scored two runs to tie the game in the seventh inning and then broke out for five runs in the top of the eighth inning in a 13-8 victory over Bishop McCort at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point.

Mason Mento went 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Panthers.

Corbin Vinglish added three hits and two RBIs, and Jace Davison had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs.
