Anna Resig: Mount Aloysius cross country
Name: Anna Resig
High school: Altoona Area
Hometown: Altoona
Sport: Cross country
College choice: Mount Aloysius
Other colleges considered: None
Why I picked Mount Aloysius: “I fell in love with the campus, and they had the major I was looking for. It is also a small campus that is close to home, which I like about it as well.”
Greatest high school achievement: “Breaking 25 minutes for a 5K race at districts this year.”
Coach Tabitha Quinn’s quote: “Anna stays positive and works hard. She has always believed in the process of making her goals happen. Where other runners may have stopped or quit, she kept going. Her growth in running shows her determination. Running collegiately at Mount Aloysius will be an outstanding opportunity for Anna.”
How I got my start running: “In eighth grade, I heard about cross country on the announcements and I thought it would be fun to do.”
Favorite college growing up: Penn State
Other interests: Fishing, archery and hanging with family and friends
What getting to play in college means to me: “It means a lot to me. I get to continue participating and competing in a sport that I love. Competing at a higher level will allow me to accomplish and experience more as well as teaching me new lessons along the way. I will also be joining a former teammate, Madison Cowfer, which makes me super excited to be running with her again.”
Probable college major: Conservation law enforcement
Parents: John and Amelia Resig
