Long’s jumping ability keys Red Flash women
Brooke Long helped the Saint Francis University women’s track and field team to a third-place finish this past holiday weekend at the Northeast Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Wagner University in New York City.
Long took second place in the triple jump, finishing with a mark of 11.45 meters. An Altoona Area graduate, Long competed in the long jump where she took fourth place out of 28 competitors with a mark of 5.49 meters.
She garnered 13 team points for the Red Flash.
On the men’s side, Saint Francis placed fifth overall. Vincent Franco, a Hollidaysburg Area graduate, placed fourth out of 18 competitors in the weight throw, finishing with a mark of 16.36 meters. Teammate Dylan Andrews, a Bellwood-Antis graduate, finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.13 meters.

Max Baronner helped the Juniata College men’s swim team at the 2025 Landmark Championships held in Baltimore recently.
A graduate of Hollidaysburg Area, Baronner, a freshman, was part of the 400-meter relay team of WIll Dovey, Christian Rota and Marshall Radonovich that took seventh in 3:29.80.
On his own, Baronner competed in the 200-meter breaststroke, placing 13th in 2:24.25.
