CHS grad going into La Roche HOF

Central graduate Tyler Ferguson, who played professional baseball with the Washington Wild Things, is set to be inducted into the La Roche Hall of Fame on Feb. 8.

Ferguson’s name is still all over the La Roche baseball record book.

In high school, Ferguson helped lead Central to a PIAA runner-up finish in 2010, then in 2011, helped the team to a District 6 championship and PIAA semifinal appearance.

Ferguson’s accolades grew when he joined the Redhawks across all areas.

Ferguson was named an All-AMCC selection four times, including 2015 AMCC Pitcher of the Year.

He also gained recognition within the region, earning First Team All-Region status in both 2014 and 2015 by D3baseball.com and the ABCA.

Ferguson still holds three of top five spots for single season strikeouts, including the top spot with 107 strikeouts. He also won 11 games in one season, which is also the most in La Roche history.

He’s second all-time for innings pitched in a season (84.1) and sixth in all-time career ERA (3.09)

He’s first in all-time innings pitched (291.2), first in all-time career strikeouts (318) and first in all-time career victories (31).

Starting at $2.99/week.
