Bellwood keeps its record perfect

FLINTON — The Bellwood-Antis girls volleyball team improved to 8-0 Thursday night, thanks to a 22-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-9 victory at Glendale in high school action.

Lydia Worthing had 11 kills and 10 bllocks to go with 10 kills from Addy Turek. Teammate Hailee McConnell added 23 assists and 25 digs. Brielle Campbell contributed nine blocks. Jessie Corrado led B-A with 20 service points.

Glendale got 17 service points from Kaprice Cavalet as well as 11 kills. Teammate Alyssa Sinclair added 13 kills.

Altoona evened its record at 4-4, thanks to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-9 win over Williamsport at the Fieldhouse.

McCONNELLSBURG — Ally Dicken got her 500th assist of her career in leading Claysburg-Kimmel past McConnellsburg, 25-11, 22-25, 25-11, 25-16.

Dicken also had 10 service points and 17 assists.

Chelsie Noah led C-K with 16 service points while Emalee Cavender had 21 assists.

Mackenzie Mulraney had 10 kills to go with 27 assists from Maelyn Dutko for the Lady Highlanders, who also got 13 service points from Paige Burkey and 10 more from Savannah Coover.

Bishop Guilfoyle fell at home to Somerset, 25-20 ,25-9, 25-18 at the Pleasant Valley gym.

Rowan Disabato had 10 digs for the Lady Marauders while teammate Maddie Myers added 20 assists. Lia Simanski contributed eight digs and six kills.

LOYSBURG — Madison Miller had 10 blocks and eight kills for Northern Bedford in a 24-26, 25-15, 25-14, 25-22 loss to Tussey Mountain.
