Foose tosses no-hitter for BCO

Ben Foose threw a no-hitter and struck out 12 in just five innings for Blair County Oil in a 10-0 victory over Honey Baked Ham at Mansion Park in a Greater City League game Monday night.

Matt Duppsandt had three hits for BCO (5-9), which scored eight times in the fourth inning to break the game open.

Alex Glasgow pitched a complete game shutout, and added two hits, to lead Gingrich Insurance to a 10-0 victory over Shaw Forestry and a spot in the Altoona Teener Minor League championship game on Wednesday.

Anthony Neri had three hits for Gingrich, and Latrell Barroner scored three runs. Gingrich will play Crafted in Pa. at 5 p.m. at Seitz Field.

Gavin Bell hit a three-run home run to lead undefeated M&T Bank to a 6-2 victory over Eldorado Kiwanis in Altoona Teener Major League action at Seitz Field on Monday.

Brady Steiner threw a complete game and struck out 11 for M&T, and Jay Albarano and Lex Dixon each had two hits.

Nick Kraft had two hits for Eldorado Kiwanis, which dropped to 11-2.
