Altoona gymnasts dominate at home
Altoona earned the top three places in all of the events in a 139.525-98.75 win over DuBois in high school gymnastics at the AAHS Fieldhouse on Thursday.
Senior Gracie Weaver, who won the vault, beam and floor, won the all-around with a 36.150. Sofia Fanelli was second in the all-around with a 33.5, and Emma Bettwy, who won the bars, was third in the all-around with a 33.325.

EBENSBURG — The Portage Area High School rifle team defeated Bishop Carroll in person, 1,359-1,247, while Bishop Carroll downed Rockwood in a virtual matchup, 1,247-1,185.
The Mustangs improved to 7-2, while the Huskies are 4-5.
Madison Litzinger led Portage with a 280. Bishop Carroll got a 275 from Emily Bennett, while Kelly Hearn was tops for Rockwood with a 259.
