Sarver hits milestone for Lady Lions in easy victory

Morgan Sarver reached the 100-goal mark of her career in the Altoona Area High School girls soccer team’s 12-0 victory over Saint Marys at Mansion Park on Tuesday night.

Sarver scored four goals and assisted on a fifth in the Lady Lions’ rout. Her 100 career goals are a school record for both the boys and girls programs.

Ali Little had two goals and an assist, Hailey Kravetz had two goals, Becca Dull, Lauren Kiser and Nicole Hawk each contributed a goal and assist, and Brooke Thomas scored one.

Keepers Quinn DeAntonio and Mari Cabell combined for the shutout.

Lady Tigers prevail

BELLEFONTE — Natalie Despot scored on an assist from Chloe Stoehr to lead the Hollidaysburg girls to a 1-0 win at Bellefonte.

The Lady Tigers improved to 10-4, while Bellefonte fell to 1-11-1.

Tyrone loses

TYRONE — Emma Hipps, Riley Ryen and Elle Smith each had two goals and one assist in helping unbeaten Clearfield defeat the Tyrone girls, 6-1.

Dull leads Lady Bobcats

DUNCANSVILLE — Gabi Dull scored two goals to help the Blair County Christian girls double up DuBois Christian, 4-2.

Sarah McCoy contributed a goal and assist, and Mallory Hileman scored a goal.

The Lady Bobcats finished in second place in the ACAA Western Division and will play in the ACAA tournament Oct. 21-23.
