Foursome win Scotch Valley event

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The team of Brice Mertiff, James Russell, Max Soellner and Nick Cushion combined to shoot a 58 to win the NBC Rec Center Golf Outing at the Scotch Valley Country Club.

The team of Tony Nastasi, Bruno DeGol III, Jeff Nicum and Mark Saltsburg took second (59).

In other action, Nick DeGol, Bruno DeGol III and Andrew DeGol won the 3-Person-Scramble event with a 62.

There was a four-way tie for second at 63 between the teams of Anthony DeGol, Michael Cohen and Joey Pfeffer, Mark Saltsburg, John Fiore and Neil Hollander, James Russell, Matt Soellner and Derek Soellner, and Scott McDermitt, Reese McDermitt and John DelBaggio.

CRESSON — The team of Ron Kenner, Derek Fink and Nick Urchick won the Summit Country Club Fall Three-Man Scramble with a score of 59.

Artie Fink Jr., Rob Hippo and Ben Pratt were second with a 61, and Quintin Dziabo, Joe Dziabo and Zack Martynuska were third with a 62.

Tim Holtz, Ethan Holtz, Ernie Sekerak and Bill Shank shot a 55 to win the Carroll Classic/BC Husky Open four-player scramble recently. Mark Delaney, Joe Crusciel, Phil Gaida and Bob Ruggiero shot a 61 to finish second.

In other action, the winner of the Par-3 2-player Scramble was the team of Jim Smith and Andy Carney (49), which finished ahead of Roger Crist and Rick perrone (51). Kyle Reese and Bill Thomas were third (53).

The ladies division was won by the team of Sandy Smith, Jean Dunmyer and Amanda Shaffer (58), along with the team of Therese Perine, Susan Wilson and Jean Solarczyk, which also totaled a 58.

Hole-in-ones

n Chuck Tomchick of Tipton scored a hole-in-one on the 95-yard, No. 10 hole at Burgi’s Back Nine in Greenwood. Tomchick’s shot was witnessed by Fern Price and Bill Harshman.

n Joe Kleman scored a hole-in-one at Immergrun Golf Club. He made the shot on No. 4 using a 7-iron. It was a par-3, 142-yard hole. It was witnessed by Stump Stombaugh.

n Park Hills Golf Club member Terry Riggen used a 7-wood to make his hole-in-one on No. 16. Kevin McGeary, Rusty Flynn and Tony Russo witnessed the shot.
