Heights hands Lady Rangers first loss

PATTON — The Cambria Heights girls volleyball team handed Forest Hills its first loss of the season Monday night, defeating the Lady Rangers 24-26, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20 in high school action.

Kendall Conrad had 20 kills and eight service points for Heights (5-3), while Kadence Della Valle had 15 service points. Teammates Emmerson Packard and Shaylee Packard each added 11 and 10 service points, respectively.

HUNTINGDON — Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic improved to 9-0, thanks to a 25-21, 25-21, 16-25, 25-13 win at Huntingdon.

Lia Simanski led the Lady Marauders with 17 kills and 15 digs to go with 12 kills, 12 digs and 10 service points from Erin Yahner. Teammate Abby Yahner added 23 service points, 46 assists and 21 digs to go with 18 digs from Caitlyn McConnell, 19 from Ava Taddei and 10 from Maddie Myers.

Tussey tops Glendale

FLINTON — Glendale dropped to 4-4 with a 25-21, 25-9, 25-20 loss to Tussey Mountain.

Samantha Cherry and Alyssa Sinclair each had four service points for Glendale to go with six kills each from Jillian Taylor and Cherry.

C-K tops Valley

CLAYSBURG — Claysburg-Kimmel defeated Juniata Valley 25-14, 25-11, 25-17, behind 16 service points and seven kills from Emalee Cavender.

Bailey Garver delivered 17 service points and six kills, Rebekah Claar had six kills, and Ally Dicken contributed 12 assists.

Kenzie Coffman had 20 digs to go with five blocks from Avery Taylor for JV, which also got six service points each from Katelyne Payne and Makenzie Coffman.

EBENSBURG — Leah Burggraf collected 17 service points, with four aces, and 25 assists in helping Central Cambria top Portage, 25-14, 25-14, 25-17.

DeeDee Long had 14 service points and 13 digs, and Alli Malay contributed 11 kills for the Lady Devils.

JV: Central Cambria, 25-8, 25-23.
