Black leads Central to win over Richland

ROARING SPRING — Senior Averey Black scored both goals for Central High School in a 2-1 win over Richland in girls soccer action Monday night.

The Lady Dragons improved to 7-1, while the Lady Rams fell to 5-3.

Keeper Kat Longenecker posted 10 saves for th Lady Dragons.

Guilfoyle cruises

The Bishop Guilfoyle girls improved to 5-3 with an 11-0 win over Johnstown at Tom Irwin Field.

The Lady Marauders, up 5-0 at halftime, got four goals from Lainey Farabaugh and two goals each from Finley Steinbugl and Maeve VanHorn.

The loss dropped Johnstown to 0-7.

Heights nips MV

PATTON — The Cambria Heights girls edged Moshannon Valley, 6-5, behind four goals form Hannah Hite.

Erin Behe had two goals and two assists for Heights, now 4-6. Sarah McClelland scored twice for Mo Valley.

Heights improved to 4-6 while the Damsels dropped to 2-5.

The Tigers (10-0) also got a goal and an assist from Eric Arbogast.

Ridge falls to WH

FISHERTOWN — Unbeaten Westmont Hilltop scored seven straight goals after falling behind 1-0 and beat the Chestnut Ridge boys, 7-3.

Maximus Zitnay, Conner Oechslin and Liam O’Neil each had two goals for Westmont, and Zach Zagorski had three assists.

Gavyn Walter and Dylan Gibbner each had a goal and assist for Ridge.
