Turiano, McGeary key Shoppe’s win

Michael Turiano had two hits and three RBIs to go with two hits and two RBIs from Logan McGeary to lead Medicine Shoppe to an 11-4 win over Blair County Oil in a Greater City League win at Vets Field.

Chooch McDonald added two RBIs as Shoppe improved to 5-3. Ian Ralston added three hits and scored three runs. Winning pitcher Zach Kuhns also had two hits.

Sal Paniagua led BCO (4-5) with two hits and two RBIs to go with two hits each from Ben Foose and Mark Saxman.

Sheetz triumphs

Sheetz improved to 6-5 in the Greater City League with a 7-1 win over Furrer-Star Beverage at Vets Field.

Ryan Slagenweit had three hits and two RBIs for Sheetz, which broke open a 2-1 game with five runs in the sixth. Trenton Creppage and Tyler Treese each added two hits while Creppage also drove home a run. Mike Folcarelli had two hits for Furrer-Star.

Winning pitcher Damian Moist struck out two and walked one.

B&M splits DH

B&M Construction and Johnston Realty played two at Juniata, with B&M winning, 3-2, while Johnston picked up a 6-3 victory in the other game.

For B&M in its victory, the winners scored twice in the top of the ninth and held off Johnston, which scored once in the bottom of the frame.

Julius Niemand drove in two runs for B&M. Nate Teno recorded the other RBI, while teammate Rich Ball had two hits. Brendan Kuhns had two hits and two RBIs for Johnston.

In the Johnston victory, Trevor Manley and Jake Hunter each drove in two runs en route to a win. Teammate Joey DeRubeis had three hits and scored twice for a win. Winning pitcher Gage Coudriet struck out eight and walked no one in five innings of work.

Conner Weyandt tripled twice and drove in two runs to lead Redline Nutrition to a 14-4 win over Bavarian Hall in five innings in a Senior Babe Ruth League game at Seitz Field.

Owen Dombrosky, Payton Hartman and Wyatt Ledford each added two RBIs to go with the pitching of Hartman, who struck out seven in five innings for the win.
