Athlete of the week achievement: Smith finished the week 3-for-7 with a home run, double and a pair of RBIs in Central’s two state playoff victories. He also scored four runs and held on to the ball during two collisions at first base during the Dragons’ 12-8 win over South Park.

Season update: Smith is hitting .394 with 25 RBIs and 31 runs scored while serving as the primary cleanup hitter for Central this year.
