Cumming offense too much for BCO

Cumming Motors improved to 5-0 in the Greater City League/AAABA Thursday night, thanks to a 15-0, five-inning win over Blair County Oil at Mansion Park.

Dylan Gerhart led Cummings, which scored nine runs in the first, with three hits and four RBIs to go with two hits and two RBIs from Colton Burd. Adam Sinisi contributed two hits and three RBIs, while Matt Parks and Michael Turiano each added two hits and an RBI. Kevin Lehner finished with two hits while Alex Hlivia drove in two runs.

Winning pitcher Nick Maynard struc out five in three innings. Sal Paniagua had two hits for BCO (2-4).

Johnston Realty improved to 2-3 in the City League/AAABA with a 4-3 win over Medicine Shoppe at Juniata.

Joe DeRubeis had two hits and an RBI for the winners. Winning pitcher Phil Keller struck out eight, walked two while giving up seven hits and three runs in six innigns of work.

Robbie Yahner had two hits and two RBIs while Brendan Shaffer had three hits and scored twice. Teammate Josh Scalice added two hits.

Mike Wigfield and Tim Fabbri combined on the three-hit shutout.

Patton gets Fed win

PATTON — J.T. Elias had two hits, scored twice and drove in two runs to lead Cambria Heights to a 7-3 win over ReMax Results in a Kelley Federation League game Thursday night.

Patton, which improved to 4-3, also got two hits and two RBIs from Nick Pattersonand Zac Letso.

Cam Mauk had two hits and two RBIs, while Garret Rossman had two hits for ReMax.

Beauchamp Plumbing and Heating’s Shawn Bettwy pitched a three-inning perfect game, striking out five, in a 20-0 win over Professionals Auto Body in a Senior Babe Ruth League game at Seitz Field.

Beauchamp collected 16 hits as it improved to 6-4. Bettwy led the way with three hits while Connor Lindsey led Beauchamp with five RBIs. Teammate Wyatt Young added four RBIs.

Tanner Swogger and Jacob Wertz each had a pair of hits in PennCrest Bank’s 11-1 five-inning win over Bavarian Hall in Senior Babe Ruth League action Thursday at Vets Field.

Kaleb Mountain, Trenton Butler, Eli Shade each scored a pair of runs.

After left fielder Logan Meyers threw out a runner at the plate to preserve a 6-6 tie in the top of the seventh, Joseph Speece knocked in Zach Oakes with a single to right in the bottom of the seventh to give PennCrest a 7-6 walkoff victory late Wednesday.

Tanner Swogger, Connor Blough, Trenton Butler and Zach Oakes had two hits apiece for PennCrest. Winning Pitcher Kaleb Mountain drove in a pair.

Trent Friedenberger’s walk-off single scored Leland Baer as McAbee’s Super Subs edged ERA, 3-2, in Teener Minor action at Seitz Field.

Simon Pierce gave up six hits and struck out five for McAbee’s, and Jordan Hance struck out 11 and allowed just three hits for ERA.
