Tigers pick up impressive road win

PHILIPSBURG — Caleb Gampe, who also went 3-for-3 and drove in both runs, combined with Carson Kensinger on a three-hit shutout of Philipsburg-Osceola in a 2-0 Hollidaysburg victory Friday afternoon in high school softball action.

Gampe struck out seven, and Kensinger sat down four as Hollidaysburg improved to 8-7.

Tough-luck losing pitcher Ryan Whitehead struck out nine for the Mounties, who dropped to 8-7.

Bellwood rallies

BELLWOOD — Bellwood-Antis rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning and scored all four of its runs in a 4-3 triumph over West Branch in high school action.

Joe Dorminy hit a walk-off single and had three hits. Nick Kost, who also drove in a run, had two hits for the Blue Devils, who improved to 11-6.
