HERSHEY–Hollidaysburg’s Nathan Barton and Brian Johnson competed on Friday at the PIAA 3A Doubles Tennis Championships at the Hershey Racquet Club, where they saw their 2021 season come to an end.

Barton, a sophomore, and Johnson, a senior, lost to the second seed out of District 3, Penn Manor seniors Curtis Rabatin and Max Davis, 6-3, 6-2, in the first round.

Other District 6 notables included singles champion David Lindsey of Central Mountain, who opened play Friday with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Hershey’s Andy Chen. Lindsey wound up losing to Lower Merion’s Vikas Miller, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the quarterfinals.
