Winning pitcher Kyle Wilson drove in three runs, and Tyreke Green homered to help Altoona defeated DuBois, 11-3, in high school baseball Saturday at Mansion Park on senior night.

The Mountain Lions also got two hits from Aidan Steinbugl and Marcus Day and Lucas Muffie had two RBIs.

JOHNSTOWN — Andrew Miko had four hits and was a home run shy of the cycle while driving in five runs in Portage’s 16-1 victory over Conemaugh Valley on Saturday.

B-A boys win WCC track title

WINDBER — Bellwood-Antis took home the boys championship at the West Central Coaches Meet on Friday thanks in part to wins by Joe Wertz in the shot put, discus and javelin. The Blue Devils also won the 1600-meter relay.

Meet final results were delayed by a computer malfunction and not completely released until Saturday.

Northern Bedford finished second in the boys competition after winning the 400-meter relay and getting individual wins from Mason Detterline in the long jump and Ian Zimmerman in the 1600-meter run.

Demetri Miller of Portage won the triple jump.

On the girls side, Portage won the team championship by winning the 1600-meter relay and getting individual wins from Lauren Shaffer (400-, 800-meter races), Alex Chobany (3200-meter run), Alyssa Hoberney (high jump) and Maddy Hudak (javelin).

Bellwood-Antis competitors Lexi Lovrich (1600-meter run) and Ava Kensinger (300 hurdles) won events as did Northern Bedford’s Hailey Bollman (long jump).
