Miko has memorable game for Mustangs

PORTAGE — Sophomore Andrew Miko hit for the cycle by going 4-for-4 with six RBIs and scoring four runs in Portage’s 12-5 victory over Conemaugh Township Thursday in high school baseball action.

Josh Morgan and Mason Kargo each had two hits for the Mustangs.

In the opener, Parker Dibert scored the winning run in the bottom of the 14th inning. Winning pitcher Corey Chamberlain struck out 12, while teammate Preston Imler had five hits to go with three from Caleb Oakes.

In the nightcap, Chamberlain hit a three-run homer to help the Bulldogs to victory.
