Heights holds on to defeat Ridge

PATTON — A five-run, fifth inning rally led Cambria Heights back to an 11-10 victory over Chestnut Ridge Wednesday afternoon in high school softball action.

Lexi Griak had three hits including a home run and drove in five runs, and Karli Storm had two hits and three RBIs.

CLAYSBURG — Harleigh Cavender went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs, and Haileigh Reed tripled among two hits and also had two RBIs as Claysburg-Kimmel topped Southern Huntingdon, 7-0.

Olivia Bushore limited the Lady Rockets to five hits and struck out four while recording the shutout.

Rally falls short

EBENSBURG — Madison Emerick homered, and a Central Cambria rally in the bottom of the seventh inning fell short, as Forest Hills topped the Lady Devils, 5-4.

Alyssa Link and Jordan Krawcion homered for Central Cambria, and despite the loss, Kami Kamzik struck out 19 batters and walked none in the loss.

FLINTON — Hanna Noel and Chloe McElheny combined to allow just one baserunner (on a walk) in a no-hitter against Harmony in Glendale’s 15-0 win.
