NBC’s Zimmerman receives ICC honor

LOYSBURG — Northern Bedford County High School senior Ian Zimmerman, the four-time District 5 Class 1A champion, led the 2020 Inter-County Conference Boys Cross Country All-Star Team.

Zimmerman was joined on the team by teammate Conner Laird, Bellwood-Antis’ Kenny Robison, Moshannon Valley’s Roman Faulds and Juniata Valley’s Matt Musser.

Girls first-teamers included Northern Bedford’s Emilee Sherlock and Harley Socie, Williamsburg’s Kelsie Butler and Juniata Valley’s Morgan Hess.

n Bellwood-Antis’ Noah Patton and Ethan Brown made the golf all-star team, as did Everett’s Dylan Taylor and Aiden Cowan, and Tussey Mountain’s Matt Hall.

n Volleyball first-teamers for the North Division included Glendale’s Olivia Reese and Kyla Campbell, Claysburg-Kimmel’s Harleigh Cavener and Emalee Cavender, Bellwood-Antis’ Raven Criscitello, and Juniata Valley’s Emma Musser and Olivia Smith.

South Division first-teamers included Everett’s Ella Hinish, Aly Daley, Ashlyn Hicks and Annie Nave, and Tussey Mountain’s Meghan Molosky.

n Boys soccer first-team all-stars included Northern Bedford’s Collin Yeatts and Curtis Clark, and Everett’s Xander Brown, Scott Weaver and Ethan Murphy.

On the girls soccer first team were Northern Bedford’s Evie Long and Abby Kline, and Moshannon Valley’s Sarah McClelland.

Volleyball stars

PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg-Osceola’s Reese Hazelton was selected as the Mountain League High School Girls Volleyball MVP for the 2020 season.

Hamilton and the Lady Mounties will play for the PIAA Class 2A championship on Saturday.

Hamilton was joined on the first team with teammate Kalista Butler and Tyrone’s Makenna Bauer.
