Red Devils’ lineup too much for CH, Bedford

PATTON — The Central Cambria boys claimed the top seven places, led by Toby Cree, Tyler Gibson and Devon Morgan, to beat Cambria Heights and Bedford by 15-50 scores in high school cross country action on Wednesday.

The Bedford boys topped Heights, 23-34.

The Centrla Cambria girls, behind a 1-2-3 finish from Stella Kuntz, Annalise Neibauer and Abby Walwro, topped Bedford, 20-39, and Heights, 17-46.

The Bedford girls, with Meah Eshelman placing fourth, earned a 19-43 win over Heights, which had Maggie McMullen place fifth.

PC boys win two

JOHNSTOWN — The Penn Cambria boys defeated Westmont Hilltop, 22-37, and Bishop Guilfoyle, 15-50, as Logan Michina and Noah Lee finished 1-2 in cross country action.

The Penn Cambria girls topped BG, 18-47, but fell to Westmont, 15-50.

The BG boys and girls each lost to WH, 15-50.

Tyrone nets win

HUNTINGDON — Tyrone got singles wins from Victoria Reese, Rachel Stricek, Ashlee Walk, Isabella Rhoades and Ashlynn McKinney in beating Huntingdon, 7-0, in girls tennis.

Reese and Renee VanProoyen, along with Lydia Seltzer and Sarah Butina won doubles matches.

Bellwood, which finished with 10 wins, was led by Ethan Brown, who shot a 50.

HOUTZDALE — Bellwood-Antis downed Moshannon Valley on Tuesday, 25-23, 24-26, 25-15, 25-19, behind 19 service points from Hailee McConnell and 10 kills from Lydia Worthing in girls volleyball.
