Cambria Heights picks up double-OT victory

PATTON — Cambria Heights knocked off Huntingdon, 2-1, in double overtime in the District 6 Class 2A boys soccer quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Matt Davis’ header off a Luke Lamb corner kick was the winner with less than 1 minute remaining in the second overtime. Lamb had scored in the first half on a penalty kick.

Heights, the fourth seed, will face No. 8 seed Bald Eagle Area in the semifinals on Monday.

CC falls short

EBENSBURG — The top-seeded Central Cambria boys were upset by eighth-seeded Bald Eagle Area, 2-1, in the District 6 Class 2A quarterfinals.

Cody Roberts scored a goal to get the Red Devils to within 2-1, but they came up short in the end.

Central Cambria, which received 14 saves from Ethan Kubat, finished with a 13-3 mark.
