Glendale gets solid effort from trio in win over B-A

FLINTON — Glendale knocked off Bellwood-Antis, 25-18, 25-15, 25-12, in high school girls volleyball action on Tuesday.

Olivia Reese delivered 13 kills, Hanna Noel had 18 assists and 11 service points, and Samantha Cherry added 11 service points.

Miranda Tornatore had 27 assists for Bellwood.

The Lady Vikings improved to 2-0 while the Lady Blue Devils fell to 0-2.

EBENSBURG — Bishop Carroll defeated Bedford, 30-28, 23-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Madita Dieseler led BC with 14 assists and 10 digs, and Tia Bradley and Ellie Long each had seven kills.

It was the season opener for both teams.

The Lady Eagles dropped their record to 1-1 with the loss.

BG perseveres

JOHNSTOWN — Bishop Guilfoyle outlasted Bishop McCort in a thriller, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 25-20, 22-20.

Lyzee Wilson delivered 30 kills, 17 service points and 19 digs for the Lady Marauders, Teresa Haigh had 21 digs and 13 kills, Abby Yahner had 60 assists, and Erin Yahner had seven blocks.

It was the season opener for the Lady Marauders.
