Brooks’ 77 helps lead Tyrone to Mountain League victory

HUNTINGDON — Led by Luke Brooks’ round of 77, Tyrone won the eight-team Mountain League match at Huntingdon Country Club with a team total of 325 on Thursday in high school boys golf.

Brooks tied with Philipsburg-Osceola’s Chad Frank for medalist honors. Central finished fourth.

IMLER — Bellwood-Antis swept three other Inter-County Conference boys teams at King Valley Golf Club, finishing with a team total of 191.

Ethan Brown and Noah Patton of Bellwood were the medalists with 41s. Everett was second with 214, Claysburg-Kimmel was third (233), and Tussey Mountain was fourth (237).

CRESSON — Penn Cambria defeated both Central Cambria and Chestnut Ridge in a triangular boys match at Summit Country Club.

Nathan Little’s 37 led Penn Cambria to a team scored of 198, followed by Central Cambria (250) and Chestnut Ridge (324).
