Kissinger wins at Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE — Ryan Kissinger scored the biggest win of his sprint car career at the Selinsgrove Speedway recently, walking off with the 20th annual 30-lap National Open for 360 sprint cars worth $5,000.

The 305 sprint main saw Ken Duke Jr. score the victory while the limited late model main went to Jared Fulkroad.

Elsewhere:

CLINTON COUNTY SPEEDWAY: Dale Schweikart made a last-lap pass to claim the Laurel Highlands RaceSaver Sprint Car feature by .202 seconds over Jared Zionkowski. The win was the second of the season for Schweikart. Other winners of the night included Bradly Benton in the pro-stocks, Mike Thompson in the 600 micro-sprints, Bobby Sanso of in the 270 micro-sprints and Cody Stover the in the four-cylinder division.

JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY: Defending track champion Teddy Gibala won for the first time this season in the late-model division, becoming the fourth different winner in four events. Also celebrating in victory lane were R.J. Dallape (modifieds), Aaron Van Fleet (street stocks), Dale Kimberly (chargers), and Evan Nibert (four-cylinders). James Gottschalk, Jr. and David Heining each won an enduro series race.

WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY: Steve Buckwalter wired the field for the 410 sprint car victory, out-running Matt Campbell to the checkers for his 11th career speedway win. The victory tied him on the oval all-time win list with Randy Wolfe. In the 25-lap URC Sprint feature event, Anthony Macri took a convincing victory after wrestling with Josh Weller for the lead.

LINCOLN SPEEDWAY: Freddie Rahmer lined up ninth for the 30-lap feature on John Gleim Excavating Night. Rahmer reeled in early-race leader Billy Dietrich in lapped traffic to take the lead and cruised to his third win at the track this year. Tyler Ross used the outside of turns 1 and 2 on the start to get by Chris Frank for second. Ross used his momentum down the backstretch and took the lead from pole-sitter Zachary Allman coming out of turn 4. Billy Workman, Jr. made the trip from North Carolina to race. It paid off as he won the feature and got laps in at the track that will host the US Legends Dirt Nationals in September.
