Williamsburg gets fourth win

McCONNELLSBURG — Lambert Palmer scored a career-high 24 points as Williamsburg picked up a 73-57 win over McConnellsburg in high school boys basketball Thursday.

Williamsburg (4-2, 2-0 ICC) surpassed its win total from last season with the victory. Josiah Dowey added 13 points for the Blue Pirates while Adam Uplinger scored 11 points.

Jaden Delerme scored 22 points for Hollidaysburg.

Jersey Shore’s Nate Ewing led all scorers with 32 points.

The Golden Tigers slipped to 6-1 while Jersey Shore improved to 4-0.

Mustangs downed

PORTAGE — Portage came up just short against North Star in high school rifle action, 1332-1328.

Rhianna Benton shot a match-high 277 for the Mustangs, who dropped to 1-2. Marshall Fetsko and Nicole Rininger each shot 270 to lead North Star.
