Tigers get plenty of balance in win

JOHNSTOWN — The Hollidaysburg ice hockey team got five goals from five different players Thursday night in a 5-4 win over Johnstown in high school action at the First Summit War Memorial Arena.

The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by Andrew Roman, Zack Dunlap and Zach Miller.

Hollidaysburg added a goal in each of the second and third periods, courtesy of Michael Solimando and Nate Breton.

Dunlap also finished with three assists to go with two from Jack Becker.

Hollidaysburg goalie Jonah Snowberger stopped 13 shots in a game the Golden Tigers outshot their opponent, 60-17.

Colts fall short

DUBOIS — DuBois defeated Northern Cambria, 1,350-1,211 in high school rifle action, thanks to a 255 from the Beavers’ Megan O’Rourke.

Northern Cambria’s top five was led by Sean Morgan’s 217. Teammate Briana Smith added a 230.
