CC ups its perfect record to 17-0

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Maggie Kudlawiec had 11 kills and 12 digs as Central Cambria improved to 17-0 with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-8 win over Hollidaysburg in girls high school volleyball action Wednesday night.

Julia Mobley led the Lady Devils with 19 service points, and Kiersten Szpala had 27 assists. Cass Bezek registered had 13 service points and 14 digs, and Liz Bopp had nine kills.

Morgan O’Neill and Reagan Ferguson led the Lady Tigers with five service points each. The loss dropped Hollidaysburg to 9-4.

BG celebrates with victory

Bishop Guilfoyle celebrated four of its players on senior night with a 16-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-20 win over Bedford at the Pleasant Valley Gymnasium.

Senior Lexi Kilmartin had 18 service points and six kills, and classmate Emily Kasun had 14 service points and a team-high 41 assists. Fellow seniors Emily Murgas (five service points) and Alyssa Erndl (six digs) were also honored.

Lyzee Wilson led the Lady Marauders with 18 kills and 14 digs.

Natalie Lippincott had 15 service points, four aces and three kills for the Lady Bisons, and Hannah Lafferty had 16 digs and eight service points.

Evy Stroup had 38 assists for the Lady Lions, Anna Batrus had 16 digs, and Julia Savino had three aces.
