Lady Tigers earn fifth straight victory with sweep

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Hollidaysburg won its fifth straight match, 5-0, over Mifflin County with singles wins from Gretta Rhodes, Lydia Lieb and Rachel Gallagher in high school girls tennis on Thursday.

The doubles teams of Ella Jodon and Madeline Waibel, and Jennifer Lasek and Jocelyn Pandolph also won for the Lady Tigers.

Second loss for Altoona

LANCASTER — Altoona fell to 7-2 with a 3-2 setback to Conestoga Valley.

Altoona won both doubles matches with Isabella Frank and Eve Hogan prevailing at No. 1, and Sophia Caputo and Alyson Hollingsworth winning at No. 2.

BEDFORD — Bedford swept Bishop McCort, 5-0, with singles wins from Emily Ruhlman, Josie Shuke and Liz Harclerode.

Breanna Smith and Emily Casalena won at No. 1 doubles, and Harmony Fetterman and Abby Weyant came out on top in No. 2 doubles.
