Moore leading Summit ladies league

CRESSON — Nancy Moore, with 42 points, took the lead in the Summit Country Club’s Ladies League Night standings through this past Monday, June 24.

Betsy Despot, with 40 points, was in second place, and Sandy Smith, with 36 points, was in third place.

The first-place team this past Monday was Christine Sears, Moore, and Fran Robine, while the first-place team on Monday, June 3, was LuAnn Dividock, Erica Kopera, Linda DeAngelis, Templeton, Smith, Cindy Snowberger, and Natalie Lidwell.

The first-place team on Monday, May 20, was Carmel Trimarco, Despot, and Diane Dunmyer, with a score of 35. The first-place teams on Monday, May 6, with a score of 39, was Deb Stitt, Snowberger, and Sue Glass, as well as Kim Johnson, Moore, Carrie Fogel, and Despot.

The first-place team on Monday, April 29, with a score of 41, was Smith, Snowberger, Despot, and Moore.

First-half skill-prize winners this past Monday were Smith (closest to the tee shot on the fourth hole), and Tori Acker (closest to the tee shot on the eighth hole). Templeton won closest to the tee shot on the fourth hole June 3, and on May 20, Johnson won closest to the tee shot on the eighth hole and Toni Krug won closest to the tee shot on the fourth hole. On May 6, Smith won closest to the tee shot on the eighth hole, and Jean Solarczyk won closest to the tee shot on the fourth hole.

The team of Hop Burgoon, Doc Burgoon, Dale Perino and Dillon Perino won the Penn Cambria Golf Boosters benefit golf outing four-player scramble format this past Monday at the Summit. The team logged a score of 56 and won a card-off with the team of Vince Strugala, Justin Wise, Greg Winger and Matt Lorditch.

Skill-prize winners included: Dylan Link (longest drive on the third hole); Mike Latoche (closest tee shot on the fourth hole); Mike Reese (closest tee shot on the eighth hole); Sam Albarano (closest tee shot on the 12th hole); Jeff Price (longest putt on the 13th hole); Joe Albertelli (closest second shot on the 15th hole).

This past Saturday, the Summit held its Memorial/Jack and Jill Event, under a modified alternate shot format. The team of Dale Perino and Therese Perino won the Gross Division with a score of 76, while the team of Bob Ruggiero and Anita Jo Petrusky was second with a 77.

In the Net Division, the teams of Cody Trabert and Caitlin Trabert, and Mike Dunmyer and Diane Dunmyer, tied for first place with identical scores of 65.

Skill-prize winners included: Rose Storm (closest to the tee shot on the fourth hole); Paul Calandra (closest to the tee shot on the eighth hole); Therese Perino (longest drive on the 11th hole); Bob Ruggiero (longest drive on the 16th hole).

Immergrun

LORETTO — The team of Dom Peruso, Bob Gillespie, Derek Markle and Roger Poorman, with a score of 15-under par 57, won the Bob Hahn Tournament at Immergrun Golf Club.

The team of Gary Rose, Bob Nagle, Francis Filak and Eugene Slebodnick was second with a 12-under par 60.

Brad Baker logged a hole-in-one on Immergrun’s 11th hole this past Sunday. Baker made the hole-in-one with a pitching wedge on the 153-yard par 3 hole. Witnesses were Bryan Baker and Don Nyland.
