Lilly, Locker Room beat AAABA teams

Lilly Conrad Chiropractic-American Legion fended off a late rally by Cumming Motors for an 8-2 win at Juniata Wednesday night in an Altoona Greater City Baseball League-AAABA crossover game.

Ryan Ickes went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs for Lilly, and P.S. Holberg picked up the win despite giving up all six Cumming Motors runs with two earned.

Larry Corle was 2-for-4 and had two RBIs for Cumming Motors, and Adam Sinisi and Brendan Vollkommer each scored twice.

Fresh off its first loss, Locker Room got back in the win column with a victory over AAABA-leading Johnston Realty at Mansion Park.

Locker Room jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings, thanks to a pair of home runs by Gary Roberts, who finished with five RBIs. Andy Lytle got the win with a five-strikeout performance.

Johnston’s Cory Storm and Frank Montecalvo drove in one run each.

Johnston Realty pounded out 16 hits, and Lennox Pugh and Austin Hammerle each drove in three runs to help hold off a rallying Lilly Conrad Chiropractic-American Legion on Tuesday night in Juniata.

Lilly rallied back from down, 8-0, in the third inning with help from Ryan Ickes, who had a home run and two RBIs, and Brandon Ickes, who had a team-high three RBIs. Brock Porter also drove in two Lilly runs.

Cory Storm scored three runs for Johnston, and Drew Weglarz (3-for-4) and Trenton Creppage (4-for-5) each scored twice.

DeAndre Hood and Owen Kravetz each drove in two runs in the opener. Kravetz also fanned six batters and walked one to get the win on the mound. Zach Kuhns scored twice for the winners.

In game two, Park Home scored 12 runs in an explosive top of the first inning. Michael Turiano drove in four runs for Park Home, and Brendan Baney doubled twice for three total RBIs.

Joey Hofer scored on Jase Hostler’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning to help Eldorado Kiwanis walk it off against Gingrich Insurance in an 8-7 win at Seitz Field in Altoona Teener League Lowey Divison action.

The win helped Kiwanis surpass Gingrich for the top spot in the Lowey Division with just one more day of games scheduled. Hostler, Landon Stiffler and Connor Blough combined for 12 strikeouts in the win.

Conner Lindsey had two hits for Gingrich.

n Erik Rhodes allowed just four hits and struck out 13 in a complete-game, 6-2 win for SHAG! over Bavarian Hall in late Altoona Teener League Deremer Division action from Tuesday night at Seitz Field.

Nick Hogan and Nick Kost had two RBIs each for SHAG!, and Ethan Hileman recorded two hits and scored one of two runs for Bavarian Hall.
