Furrer Beverage downs Locker Room

Winning pitcher Brady Sheehan recorded seven strikeouts in 3ª innings and also drove in four runs to help Furrer Beverage in its 14-7 win over Locker Room in the Altoona Teener Baseball League Deremer Division on Saturday at Seitz Field.

Sheehan gave way to Lambert Palmer in the fourth, and he struck out nine more Locker Room batters. Palmer was also 4-for-5 hitting with two RBIs and three runs scored, and Cayon Neyman also drove in two runs.

Andrew Greiner was 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs for Locker Room.

n Josh Merrits had three hits and three RBIs as SHAG! took care of business with an 11-8 win over Cumming Motors at Seitz Field.

Sam Columbo scored three runs for the winners, and Austin Parker got the win with six strikeouts over five innings.

Luke Carracciolo was 2-for-3, drove in two runs and scored another for Cumming Motors.

n PennCrest Bank was busy on Friday and Saturday, notching three wins in its march to a 9-1 record.

PennCrest won two on Friday, topping Barton’s Plumbing & Heating, 6-3, before beating Cumming Motors, 12-2, in the nightcap.

Nathan Sell had two RBIs for the winners in the first game, and Landon Meadows had nine strikeouts and two walks along with two hits to help PennCrest win the second game. Braden Callahan also had four hits, including two doubles and a triple.

On Saturday, Matt Moyer registered 10 strikeouts, four walks and only surrendered five hits to lead a 12-2 win over Bavarian Hall at Seitz Field.

Sell had a bases-clearing triple in the fifth for PennCrest, and Callahan and Nick Peterson each drove in two runs.

Lilly prevails

Lilly Conrad Chiropractic-American Legion downed Medicine Shoppe, 14-6, in an Altoona Greater City League game late Friday at Vets Field.

Pat Gully was 2-for-3 and scored three runs for Lilly (2-1), and winning pitcher Derek Younker had six strikeouts. Ryan Ickes drove in four runs, and Brent Matish drove in three.

Nate Reid drove in three runs for Medicine Shoppe.
