Marauders pick up victory on the road

DuBOIS — The Bishop Guilfoyle boys volleyball team improved to 4-4 Thursday night, thanks to a 25-21, 25-15, 17-25, 25-15 win at DuBois in high school action.

The Marauders got 30 assists and 22 service points from Kai Kimberly to go with 16 digs and 12 kills from Josh Weltheroth. Teammate Connor Ebersole added 18 kills and 10 digs.

DuBois fell to 3-2.

Central falters

SIDMAN — Central lost a four-set 25-17, 25-27, 8-25, 19-25 decision to host Forest Hills.

Eli Lingenfelter had 13 assists, four kills and four blocks for Central.

The Scarlet Dragons also got eight assists and five service points from Zach Wyant, seven service points and five kills from Jordan Stump, and seven blocks from Shane Taylor.


CENTRAL: Stump 7, Earnest 6, Gahagan 5, Wyant 5.

JV: Central defeated Forest HIlls, 25-20, 25-18.
