Duo lead Tigers to big victory

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Logan Margroum went 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBIs, and Joey Grassi went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs to lead Hollidaysburg to a 16-0 win over Punxsutawney Monday afternoon in high school baseball action.

The game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule. Hollidaysburg improved to 4-3.

Tristan Chaney also went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs for the Golden Tigers, who scored nine times in the fourth to end the game.

Winning pitcher Nick Helsel struck out five and walked no one in four innings of work. He gave up four hits.

MARTINSBURG — Winning pitcher Ryan Whitehead struck out three and had a triple and four RBIs for Philipsburg-Osceola in a victory over Central.
