Curve Classic restarts today

Because of the rain in the area on Friday, the schedule has been adjusted for the annual Curve Classic for high school baseball, which started on Thursday at PNG Field.

Two games were washed out on Friday, Hollidaysburg-St. Marys and Central-Juniata Valley. The event started Thursday with Altoona beating Bellwood-Antis, 5-0, and Bishop Guilfoyle beating Claysburg-Kimmel, 4-1.

Starting this morning, Hollidaysburg will play St. Marys at 10 a.m., followed by the Central-Juniata Valley game at 12:30 p.m. Bellwood will then play the Hollidaysburg-St. Marys loser at 3, followed by C-K taking on the Central-Juniata Valley loser at 5:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Altoona gets the Hollidaysburg-St. Marys winner at 9 a.m., followed by Bishop Guilfoyle playing the winner of Central-Juniata Valley at 11:30 a.m.

The title game will be played at 2 p.m.

Huntingdon defeated Altoona in the final last year.
